Mystery Photo Number 3 from N/L No 14 revealed: -
Jazzy Money Bags and Melanie Pritchard
I bought Jazzy in the spring of 2003 from someone who had inherited her and her companion when she bought a farm in Wales. The two mares had been among other appaloosas that had been sold and Jazzy and the other mare were the two left. Although she had her own horses she did not really want to keep the two mares and having had their injections done, feet rimmed and teeth rasped etc then advertised them for sale. I decided to buy them both (the other mare was one I had owned in the past and Jazzy had belonged to a friend of mine previously) they had both been brood mares for most of their lives and neither had even been to a show.
I decided to introduce Jazzy to showing at the age of 11 at the ApHC UK national show. As I have come to expect from appaloosas she was very well behaved in the trailer, in the stable for two nights and in the ring, and we picked up a few rosettes. I sold her in the autumn to my friend Jan Cantin as a wife for Design Legend (the stallion I imported as a yearling) and I am sure she will be very happy there.
