EQUINE EVENTS
JUST A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE KINDLY HELPED AT THE SERIES OF EQUINE EVENTS AROUND THE COUNTRY:
South West Equine Event, Bath & West Showground
Thanks to Sheena Atkinson and Exbury Amex for doing a wonderful PR job on the stand. Also special thanks for all the hard work Dick Mutimer put in this weekend - Dick spent the weekend sleeping in his car in freezing conditions, without a murmer.
Thanks also to my niece Amanda Moore for riding Joe Glow so beautifully in the breed demonstrations and in the Stallion Parade. Good job well done!
The British Equine Event, Stoneleigh
Thanks very much again to Lee Jose and Tiptoe Bucks Fancy and to Amanda Whitehall with Exbury Indigo - once more doing a great job in showing off the versatility of the Appaloosa and clearly indicating what a great temperament these horses have. Thanks also to the various Directors who gave up part of their weekend to help out on the stand:
Joe Mutimer especially for her Auntie Wainwright shop expertise! Thanks very much to Janette and Tim Keeley for bringing along her very beautiful Nez Perce Costume which stood regally on the stand all day Saturday. Sally and Richard Chamberlain, Kim Sands, Angela and Derek Sherwin and especially to Ed & Julia Bottomley - this was very brave considering the tragedy of having lost all their stables, hay and horse lorry in a devastating fire recently. Our heartfelt sympathies to you both! Thanks to Amanda for arranging such a great meal out on the Saturday night. Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend - we had an excellent position in the Breeds village.
Harrogate Equine Event, Great Yorkshire Showground
Thanks to Mr & Mrs Wilson for supplying Capitall Paul for our breed display, and again to the great Stalwart Dick Mutimer for being so dependable and offering to go such a long way to help on the stand.
You are all absolute stars - if anyone can offer a display horse for the Malvern equine event, to be held in March at the Three Counties Showground, please let me know - we would like to vary the horses used and would like preferably well-marked, impeccably behaved horses in English tack for preference, but could possibly have an English and a Western horse if available for this.Joyce Nutland
